A client within the Public Sector based in Greater Manchester is currently recruiting for a Principal Surveyor to join their Estates & Assets Team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within an estates management environment. The Role Key purpose of the role is to provide a strong and professional lead for the management and delivery of the Estates Team’s operational services, supporting and deputising for the Head of Estates as required, whilst undertaking a varied professional caseload. Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to: • Carrying out property valuations including rental, capital, statutory, asset and disposals. • Managing landlord & tenant matters such as lease renewals, rent reviews, rent negotiations and service charges. • Handling property acquisitions and disposals including compulsory purchase. • Supporting the Council’s asset valuation programme and regeneration schemes. • Deputising for the Head of Estates and supervising Estates Surveyors, Business Centres’ Manager and support staff.
