Teaching Personnel are currently working with a secondary school based in Sandbach that are looking for a Teaching Assistant, specifically with a strong background in English. This is a great opportunity for an recent graduate who is seeking experience within a school before committing to teacher training.
About the role:
* Start-date: 8th September
* Ongoing/long-term
* Full-time position
As a Teaching Assistant, you will be a part of the school’s English department, working to support students who require additional learning support in English. You will work closely with the students’ class teachers to identify learning gaps and create and implement individualised learning plans. This will include 1-1 and group intervention with both English Language and Literature. Additionally, you will track and monitor progress, ensuring you report this back to the class teacher.
What we’re looking for:
* Experience working with young people in any setting
* Strong background in English
* Good understanding and passion for the subject
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students
* Safeguarding training to be completed upon registering with Teaching Personnel
