Overview
Location: Fairbrook Medical, Fairway Avenue, Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, WD6 1PR. Salaried GP vacancy for six sessions per week (Mon, Wed, Frid). The practice is in a single-site, purpose-built premises with 12 consulting rooms. The role is eligible for ARRS; applications welcomed from GPs within the first two years of qualification.
List size 14,700 with 6 partners and 4 salaried GPs. The practice is stable, democratic and supportive, on one site. The team includes an experienced ANP, Paramedic and Clinical Pharmacist (all prescribers) and an experienced nursing team including HCA/phlebotomist. Training practice for GPs, Pharmacists and Nurses. Very High QOF Achieving. Paper-light practice (EMIS/Docman/Accurex/Clarity Team Net/Ardens). Total Triage practice. CQC rated Good across all domains. Collegiate ethos with daily informal GP coffee catch-ups, weekly partnership meetings and monthly education sessions. Indemnity fully paid for with MPS above state indemnity. 6 weeks annual leave and 1 week study leave + NHS pension. Home laptop linked to EMIS web for remote access can be arranged. View to partnership if desired. Start date: September, but flexible to wait for the right person to join our team.
Responsibilities
* Provide GP clinical services in a paper-light practice using EMIS/Docman/Accurex/Clarity/Ardens and participate in Total Triage to deliver high-quality patient care.
* Work six sessions per week (Mon, Wed, Frid) with AM & PM sessions.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including an ANP, Paramedic and Clinical Pharmacist, as well as an experienced nursing team (HCA/phlebotomist).
* Engage in training and development as a training practice for GPs, Pharmacists and Nurses; participate in daily GP coffee catch-ups, weekly partnership meetings and monthly education sessions.
* Maintain Very High QOF achievement and contribute to quality improvement across the practice.
* Indemnity is fully paid for with MPS above state indemnity; NHS pension included.
* Remote access: Home laptop linked to EMIS web for remote work arrangements can be arranged.
* View to partnership if desired.
* Start date: September (flexible to accommodate the right candidate).
Qualifications
* Quality-driven GP with energy, positivity and a good sense of humour; applications welcomed from GPs within the first two years of qualification (ARRS scheme eligible).
* Experience with EMIS/Docman/Accurex/Clarity Team Net/Ardens and a paper-light practice environment.
* CQC rating: Good across all domains.
* Indemnity fully paid with MPS above state indemnity; NHS pension included.
* Start date flexibility (September or later).
