Understanding what's happening more widely in retail and in our markets is more important than ever and that's where our Value and Market Analysts play a vital role. We invest heavily in understanding our customers, retail trends, pricing and macro-economic factors, be it through sales data, qualitative research, tracking studies, analysis or a vast array of market data. Market Analysts make use of all such sources to fully grasp how Boots and our products are performing –generating and story-telling world-class insights that compel action; working in strategic partnership with the category leaders for our business. Key Responsibilities: Provide regular pricing and market reports on a weekly and monthly basis that are used to shape and drive the wider business performance of Boots UK You will become an expert in understanding our pricing and market data sources using the information to drive business strategy You will analyse data to ensure accuracy, both internally and externally, and liaise with the relevant teams in the advent of any issues Build positive relationships with key partners to advise on the best data solutions ensuring the most accurate view of market performance What you'll need to have You'll be of degree calibre, preferably in a subject with a strong numerical and analytical bias. You will have a problem-solving approach that gets to the underlying business questions You will be very skilled in excel, capable of using pivot tables for data manipulation and presentation.
