Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and driven Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of complex infrastructure projects within hospital environments across the South of the UK. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction-based project delivery, extensive experience with NEC contract frameworks, and a thorough understanding of cabling installations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead end-to-end project management for the deployment of healthcare infrastructure in live hospital settings.
* Manage project timelines, budgets, and scope in accordance with NEC contract frameworks.
* Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.
* Oversee installation of structured cabling systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and hospital regulations.
* Conduct risk assessments, site evaluations, and ensure all works meet safety and compliance requirements.
* Manage multiple projects simultaneously, often in complex and sensitive clinical environments.
* Provide regular progress updates to senior stakeholders and clients, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience managing construction-related projects, ideally within live healthcare or similarly regulated environments.
* In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with NEC contracts (e.g., NEC3/NEC4).
* Strong understanding of structured cabling systems, installation practices, and applicable standards (e.g., BS EN 50173, TIA/EIA standards).
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Ability to travel regularly across the South of the UK, sometimes requiring overnight stays.
* Experience working with multidisciplinary teams in operational healthcare environments is highly desirable.
Desirable Qualifications:
* PRINCE2, APM, or equivalent project management certification.
* CSCS card or equivalent health & safety certification.
* Knowledge of HTM (Health Technical Memoranda) standards.
