FJA are recruiting on behalf of a leading service provider in the utilities industry for a Trainee Asset Inspection Technician to strengthen their existing team. The role is based in the Tipton area with travel to sites as required.

Trainee Asset Inspection Technician responsibilities:
* Conduct asset condition assessments using various methods, including ultrasonic testing, forensic inspections, and under pressure camera surveys
* Carry out physical inspections on-site, often in demanding environments and under varying weather conditions
* Operate specialist equipment related to pipe condition testing and live water main access
* Support drilling and tapping operations on live water mains where required
* Accurately record findings and assist in compiling detailed technical reports
* Use computer applications and data management systems to document and analyse inspection results
* Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure timely delivery of services to clients
* Adapt to a flexible working schedule, including occasional travel and overnight stays, based on client needs
* Maintain a strong focus on health, safety, and environmental standards throughout all tasks
Trainee Asset Inspection Technician requirements:
* A valid full clean UK driving Licence
* Strong IT skills with good numeracy and literacy
* Reside within a commutable distance of Tipton
