The Role
We are seeking an experienced Purchasing & Compliance Team Leader to take senior ownership of purchasing operations and lead a growing team.
This role is responsible for forecasting, purchasing, inbound logistics, quality control coordination and regulatory compliance, ensuring stock availability, margin protection and accurate system data. You will work closely with the Head of Procurement and the wider senior leadership team to support continued business growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Inventory forecasting and demand planning (Slimstock)
2. Purchasing and purchase order management
3. Supplier and product master data governance (OrderWise ERP)
4. Inbound container freight and forwarder management
5. ISO-standard quality control and supplier performance monitoring
6. Import compliance and regulatory management
7. Leadership, stakeholder engagement and team development
Skills & Experience (Essential)
8. Proven procurement leadership experience in a fast-moving, multi-supplier environment
9. Strong experience managing UK, EU and Asian supply chains
10. Forecasting and demand planning expertise (Slimstock or similar)
11. ERP and master data governance experience (OrderWise preferred)
12. Freight negotiation and inbound logistics management
13. Strong commercial awareness: landed cost, margin protection, stock risk
14. Experience managing import compliance and audit-ready documentation
15. Confident communicator at senior leadership level
16. Demonstrated people management and team-building capability
