The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a skilled engineering team on a busy manufacturing site. This position has become available due to an internal promotion, highlighting the company’s commitment to developing and progressing its people.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving plant performance, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
This is a hands-on role working across both mechanical and electrical systems. Whilst this role is mechanical and electrical, if the right person is experienced in either mechanical or electric this will be sufficient.
Key Responsibilities
1. Carry out reactive and planned maintenance on plant and equipment
2. Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults
3. Service, maintain and overhaul machinery
4. Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
5. Identify root causes of failures and implement corrective actions
6. Support continuous improvement and maintenance systems
7. Ensure all work is completed in line with Health, Safety & Environmental standards
8. Work proactively to minimise downtime and improve performance
About You
9. Previous work experience in a similar maintenance role
10. Strong mechanical knowledge, including hydraulics & pneumatics
11. Electrical fault-finding skills on 3-phase and automated systems
12. Experience with fabrication and welding is desirable
13. Positive, proactive and flexible approach
Working Hours
14. Rotating 3-shift pattern (Days, Afternoons, Nights)
15. Monday to Thursday:
16. Days: 6:00am - 2:00pm
17. Afternoons: 2:00pm - 10:00pm
18. Nights: 10:00pm - 6:00am
19. Friday (short shift):
20. Days: 6:00am - 1:00pm
21. Afternoons: 11:00am - 6:00pm
22. Nights: 6:00pm - 12:00am
40 hours per week
