EYFS TEACHING ASSISTANT VACANCY - START DATE 23RD FEB 26
Salary Range: Scale 4 (SCP 7 -10) with enhanced payment for teaching commitments
The Governors would like to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic EYFS Teaching Assistant (TA) with School Meals Supervisory Assistant (S.M.S.A.) responsibilities to our successful and happy school.
The post will be full time:- Monday – Friday 8.30am – 3.45pm term time only
It is essential that candidates have:
• excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• strong literacy and numeracy skills
• good organisational skills
• the ability to work as a member of a team
Main Duties
To carry out the professional duties of an EYFS Teaching Assistant in accordance with the Professional Standards for Teaching Assistants. In addition the Early Years TA will:
• Support the Christian Vision, Values and ethos of the school.
• Contribute to the planning, preparation, delivery and evaluation of learning experiences that will enhance children’s physical, intellectual, linguistic, emotional, social and moral development.
• Develop and maintain professional links with parents, other agencies working with school.
The successful candidates will have the opportunity to work with dedicated and talented professional colleagues. School-based training will be provided from experienced class teachers and annual professional development reviews. We are a supportive and friendly team. An offer of this appointment is subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure Baring Service check, medical clearance and good references.
