Overview
You will contribute to a programme of research, funded by the Horne Family Charitable Trust, which aims to increase the evidence base on Domestic Violence and Abuse (DVA) experiences of people with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) with a view to highlighting the implications for clinical practice. This project includes collaboration with a PhD programme at the University of Nottingham and is based in the School of Sociology and Social Policy (SSP).
You will join the project as a Horne Family Charitable Trust Research Fellow, mentored by Dr Andrea Hollomotz (SSP) and Professor Helen Ford (School of Medicine). You will become part of a wider team of researchers associated with the DVA and MS research program.
Responsibilities
* Contribute to the execution of the research project, including data collection, analysis, and interpretation related to DVA experiences among people with MS.
* Collaborate with the project team and stakeholders to understand healthcare and DVA service implications.
* Engage with interdisciplinary researchers across SSP and Medicine, supporting integrated outputs for clinical practice.
Qualifications
* Experience in social science research or related fields; ability to work across interdisciplinary teams.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills for research dissemination and stakeholder engagement.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team within a university research environment.
