Fidarsi are partnering with a Digital Asset firm who are looking to hire an Operations Manager.
The Operations team is responsible for managing the digital asset services which includes client onboarding, creation and maintenance of governance rules, transaction processing, monitoring, reporting, staking and operations risk reporting. In the initial stages a high degree of project support and business analysis will be required.
The Operations Manager will be responsible for leading the Admin Operations team, to ensure it fulfils its obligations both to its clients and its regulators, assuming accountability for managing all digital Admin operations services, including resource management and oversight, operational client onboarding, monitoring of daily controls, MI reporting, and timely issue resolution. The role requires regular client interaction with an expectation that the postholder will support the team in providing first-class client service delivery and anticipate future client needs. There is also a requirement to centrally coordinate, manage and control daily processes to ensure outstanding exceptions are addressed on a timely basis and escalated as required.
The role:
Ongoing monitoring and control
* Liaise with Sales team to agree prioritisation and process all client onboarding requests in a timely manner, keeping the client apprised of progress
* Process and monitoring of all client requests including exception handling to ensure exceptions are actively managed to resolution on a daily basis.
* Investigate issues raised by clients or other stakeholders, seeking guidance from management/Compliance where required.
* Ensure issues raised by clients or other stakeholders are investigated, tracked and resolved in a timely manner, providing guidance as required
* Escalate issues and control breaches to Operations Management, Compliance and IT where appropriate.
* Ensure ongoing adequate product and process knowledge to facilitate effective support for all operational processes.
* Take active interest to changes in the digital asset landscape including new regulations and products.
* Support with documenting and maintaining all relevant policies and procedures.
Projects
* Review current process and procedures to identify any control weaknesses and/or inefficiencies and recommend appropriate remediation steps.
* Propose new and enhanced systematic controls, process improvements and enhancements to the client experience and raise business requirements to IT.
* In the event of industry change or client requirement, review and engage to ensure business processes and any system changes are thoroughly tested and implemented in a timely manner.
* Undertaking any other such duties as may be reasonably required by the role
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
* A graduate in a statistical or analytical degree, ideally sciences, engineering, business, economics or similar and able to demonstrate expertise in statistical analysis, risk assessment and process/workflow design.
* Minimum 4 years’ industry experience in financial services in one or more of the following operations:
* banking;
* trust or fund services;
* transaction processing;
* custody support;
* clearing and settlements;
* client on boarding; and
* business analysis or middle office.
* An interest in the field of Fintech/Digital Assets essential. Commercially orientated with a good understanding of the economic and social context of the business and financial services in general.
* Ability to communicate concisely and persuasively both in writing and verbally.
* Advanced Microsoft skills, in particular Excel is desirable.
