What is this role about?
* Assembly of Electrical Switchgear and associated Electromechanical equipment/systems to engineering drawings and production timescales.
* Apply good workmanship, ensure quality standards are maintained both in the factory and at customer premises.
* Adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures.

What kind of work will you be doing?
* Working from drawings, manuals, schematics, etc.
* Experience in assembly of mechanical equipment and electromechanical systems
* Fitting, building, or constructing various parts for smooth component integration
* Assembling parts or components to build products
* Working independently with minimal supervision
* Knowledge of engineering tools and equipment, including torquing
* Maturity and practical engineering skills
* Adherence to company policies and procedures
* Mentoring and developing team members
* Applying good workmanship and maintaining quality standards
* Reporting substandard, malfunctioning, or defective parts
* Selecting, measuring, and modifying components for proper fit
* Carrying out MTOs and ordering materials for internal and site tasks
* Assembling prototype and development units with supervisors and managers
* Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
* Meeting deadlines and adhering to Quality and H&S principles
* Flexibility for overtime and team integration
* Performing other duties as assigned
To be considered, candidates should have experience/qualifications in all the following essential areas:
* Proven experience as an assembler of switchgear or similar engineering environment
* Ability to read and work from drawings, manuals, schematics, etc.
* Willingness to work flexibly, including site work and rotations
* Ability to complete assemblies and related paperwork, including self-quality checks
* Experience with punches, saws, benders, hand tools, etc.
Preferred but not essential:
* C&G Mechanical Qualification & Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent
* Electrical knowledge alongside Mechanical skills
* Experience in Electrical switchgear manufacturing or similar
* On-field service or on-site installation experience
* Knowledge of Risk Assessments and Method Statements
