About the role
1 to 1 Teacher
Location: Southport
Pay: £30 per hour (dependent on experience and/or qualifications)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Part-time, long-term
Vision for Education is seeking dedicated, qualified 1 to 1 Teachers to support secondary students in the Southport area who are not currently in full-time education. This is a flexible and rewarding role, providing ongoing support to help pupils reach their target grades in Maths and English—ideal for educators who enjoy working independently and tailoring learning to individual needs.
Sessions may take place in a traditional school setting, local libraries or hubs, or the student’s home. There is also potential to increase hours up to full time, offering excellent work-life balance.
Requirements:
1. A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, TEFL, BA Ed etc.)
2. Experience working with SEND pupils
3. Strong understanding of the secondary curriculum
4. Commitment to regular, scheduled tutoring sessions
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
6. A proactive, flexible, and learner-centred teaching style
