You must be fully immersed in the world of press and publicity but also experienced in working in the film, television and entertainment industry. As Account Director, you are an ambitious and proactive member of the UK Publicity team and are a senior publicist that plays an integral role in the agency. You’ll be a strong leader of a team of executives, leading campaigns from the ground up. You’ll run PR campaigns in the UK, maintaining exceptional relationships with the press and clients.Your Key Responsibilities Include:Client RelationshipsDevelop a close working relationship with our clients in the Film and/or TV space and add value with expert knowledgeWork with the Director of Television and senior partners to trouble-shoot any issues relating to this ongoing workOversight of the day-to-day client management, rectifying issues as they ariseEnsure the team keep in contact with the client at all stages of the campaignDeliveryRun/direct campaigns in the UK and provide the client with regular updatesOversee timely coverage reporting for our clients with the support of the wider teamOversee the dissemination of new assets to media, utilising the depth of the teamWorking with the strengths of the team to find the best solution for any given projectAttend and coordinate major red-carpet events, festivals and other press launchesStrategy and Commercial AwarenessDevise and execute strategy for UK Publicity campaigns with an awareness of clientobjectives and competitive landscapeBe mindful of other aspects of our business and proactively share information where suitableInvest time and creativity in new business pushes, driven by yourself directly or other team membersDevelop and maintain exceptional relationships with press whilst ensuring maximum visibility for our projectsBuild on existing relationships with producing, writing and directing talent, and identifyopportunities to pursue new businessPeopleMaintain professional manner and demonstration of strong work ethic towards account teams and company as a wholeResponsible for managing a team of Account Executives within your accounts to assist with their progression and outputBecome invested in growing the experience of members of the team through their work with youBe approachable and professional at all times and positively contribute to the teamInspire your colleagues to push themselves and lead by exampleChampion the importance of teamwork and motivate others around youMentor and coach more junior team members, building their knowledge, understanding and expertiseSkills & ExperienceExperience with on-set unit publicity capture, press access, photography and EPKUnderstanding of picture publicity and the ability to come up with creative ideas and be able to work with photographers and designersDemonstrable experience in working in PR at mid/senior level, within the Film, TV and Entertainment sectorAbility to manage the budget on unit and launch campaignsExcellent communication experience between producers, cast, crew, talent representatives and the media during film shootsKnowledge of the TV landscape: identify the core audience for a TV series, know how to reach them and excite them, be aware of competitive campaigns and TV trendsExtensive experience working on campaigns, with strong experience of client managementExceptional relationship building skills, with a focus on relationships with clients, seniormanagement and significant stakeholdersKnown to a high level of press and industry figuresExperience of major TV and/or film junketsA passion for learning, and getting under the skin of, client businesses to give them the best possible outcomesHighly motivated, positive and passionate people leader, with confidence speaking to Senior ExecutivesAbility to multi-task and stay organized to meet multiple deadlines across a variety of projectsA team player, willing to share knowledge and discuss approaches and tactics but also able to work independentlyExcellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbalPro-active & intuitiveHighly organised, and a clear, confident delegatorProficient in presentation software and other Apple / Microsoft packagesMedia Management experience is desired, but not essentialDDA ValuesOur values can act as a roadmap for expected behaviour within the DDA community and are underpinned by a collective belief in what we are, what we do and what we represent.o Being Bold, partners a boldness of spirit with a deep trust of their colleagues and a respect for alternative points of view.o Creating Community, enjoy working together and consistently respect and support each other to achieve the best results for our clients.
