Llanfairfechan, Conwy
Hours:
Part-time 16 hours per week, with typical shift patterns including:
1. All day and sleep-in shifts: 08:00-10:00 start, 23:00 + sleep-in
2. Day shift: 08:00-10:00 start, 19:00
3. Tuesday/Wednesdays vary: 08:00-18:00 and 14:45-23:00 + sleep-in
This role includes approximately one sleep-in shift per week, which may vary depending on the needs of the service.
Salary:
£12.74 per hour, with sleep-in shifts at £60 per night. Mileage for attending training or other work-related travel is covered at 45p per mile.
What you’ll be doing:
You’ll support older adults in developing skills and independence at home and in the community. The role involves supporting individuals with learning disabilities, mental ill-health, autism, limited verbal communication, dysphagia, and physical disabilities such as cerebral palsy. Personal care is also part of the role.
For example, supporting activities like trips to the zoo, using trains and buses, social outings, or relaxing activities at home like watching TV or enjoying magazines. Your goal is to make ‘everyday remarkable’ by enhancing well-being and focusing on small, joyful moments.

No experience is required as full training is provided. We’d love to hear from you if you:
* Have patience and empathy
* Can support personal care with respect and dignity
* Have strong communication and teamwork skills
* Can advocate for others and communicate with professionals
* Have good written skills for recording events with empathy
* Possess a driving license, as driving the supported individuals’ cars is essential
