Make a real impact as a GCSE Tutor
Are you a passionate educator, making a difference in the lives of students with SMEH needs? We are looking for an experienced and dedicated tutor. You'll provide personalised 1:1 support in Maths and/or English for GCSE students. These in‑person sessions in Sidcup offer the chance to work closely with students, helping them build skills and confidence in a supportive and tailored learning environment.
* Location: in‑person in the Sidcup area
* Hours: 1–2 hours per week
* Day(s) and Time(s): Friday evenings between 4‑6 pm
* Subject and Level: GCSE Maths or English
* Pay: £35 per hour
* Start date: As soon as possible
* Contract Length: approximately 8 weeks
Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver tuition programmes in small groups or 1:1
* Provide tuition that is appropriate for the individuals/groups needs and study level
* Assess any barriers to students' learning and work to overcome these
* Monitor student progress and produce reportsCreate a positive and supportive learning environment
* Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of the curriculum content and qualification frameworks you are providing tuition in
* Regularly report updates to the Tuition Programme Manager
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree
* Experience working with students with SEMH needs
* 2+ years of tutoring or teaching experience
* Ability to work with students of all abilities
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Right to be self‑employed in the UK
