Located at Nottingham / London office (with regular travel to Boots HQ in Nottingham) Reports to : Commercial Director Direct Reports : Sales Assistant (manages order processing, account operations, and sales administration for the Boots account) Role Purpose: As Senior National Account Manager – Boots, you will own the commercial strategy and delivery for The INKEY List’s No.1 UK retail partnership, with full P&L responsibility. Already a Top 3 skincare brand in Boots, our ambition is bold and urgent: to be the No.1 skincare brand both online and offline. This role is about winning differently — moving fast, making bold commercial calls, and orchestrating seamless execution across Boots and INKEY teams. At the same time, you will own and lead the relationship with Boots, building the trust, credibility, and partnership equity that makes INKEY not just another supplier, but a preferred, liked, and valued partner. Key Responsibilities: Commercial Leadership & P&L Ownership Lead the full Boots P&L — balancing ambitious growth targets with disciplined profitability. Relentlessly optimise trade spend and promotional investments to maximise ROI and accelerate share. Make rapid, data-driven adjustments to capture upside or manage risks. Negotiate bold, future-facing commercial terms that strengthen long-term brand advantage. Strategic Planning & Execution Own and deliver the annual Joint Business Plan (JBP) with Boots, aligning with INKEY’s global priorities and our No.1 ambition. Develop disruptive assortment, merchandising, and activation strategies that win online and offline. Constantly monitor competitors, category shifts, and consumer behaviour to identify and act on incremental growth opportunities. Cross-Functional Leadership & Partnership Own and lead senior relationships with Boots’ buying, marketing, and supply chain teams — elevating INKEY to “preferred partner” status. Build trust and credibility by delivering consistently, moving fast, and creating joint wins. Inspire and orchestrate INKEY’s internal teams (Marketing, Supply, Education, Digital, Finance) to deliver seamless execution against Boots priorities. Cut through silos, resolve conflicts fast, and keep teams moving at pace. Insight-Driven Growth Use Boots EPOS and shopper insights as weapons to unlock targeted opportunities. Monitor sell-in and sell-through performance daily/weekly, making fast tactical shifts. Analyse category and competitor activity to anticipate threats and stay one step ahead. Team Leadership & Development Lead and coach the Sales Assistant to deliver operational excellence at speed. Foster a winning, accountable, and commercially sharp culture within the UK team. Skills & Experience: Essential 7–10 years of proven commercial experience in national account management or commercial roles within beauty, skincare, or CPG. Direct Boots experience at some point in career — with strong knowledge of systems, JBPs, and buyer engagement. Demonstrated success in delivering growth and profitability in large-scale retail accounts. Proven track record of driving challenger brands into category leadership positions. Strong P&L ownership with expertise in trade spend optimisation, promotional ROI, and agile commercial decision-making. Skilled influencer — able to mobilise cross-functional teams internally and retailer stakeholders externally. Desirable Experience in both mass and prestige retail environments. Strong digital and omnichannel retail growth track record. High-growth, entrepreneurial brand experience.
