New Meaning Centre: NMT Nuneaton Type: Full time, Permanent, All-year-round Hours: 37.5 hours Schedule: Monday to Friday 07:30-15:30 Salary: Negotiable and based on experience Job Reference: WARNUNMECT042601 Closing date: 12/05/26 Start date: August 2026 Introduction Do you have experience in vehicle maintenance or motor mechanics — and a passion for passing your knowledge on to the next generation? New Meaning Training (NMT) is recruiting two Mechanics Tutors to help us launch our brand-new Motor Mechanics offer at our Nuneaton centre. The centre opened in September 2025, and the Motor Mechanics programme will go live in September 2026. This course is already running very successfully at our Stratford-upon-Avon centre, and both new tutors will receive ongoing support from our Motor Mechanics Lead Tutor based there. At the same time, you’ll play a vital role in helping us establish the offer for the first time in Nuneaton — shaping the workshop, routines, and learner experience from the ground up. Our learners are aged 16–25, many with EHCPs or additional needs such as autism, ADHD, or anxiety. Some have had disrupted education and may lack confidence, but they thrive in supportive, practical learning environments where they can build real skills for life and employment. This is more than a teaching role — it’s an opportunity to make a genuine difference. You’ll work with small groups in a relaxed, non-traditional setting, using tools, practical tasks, and teamwork to help learners gain qualifications, confidence, independence, and pride in what they can achieve. Whether you’ve worked in a garage, trained apprentices, mentored others in the trade — or even if you’ve never taught before but are patient, empathetic, and hands-on — this could be the career move you’ve been waiting for. Full training and support will be provided. About Us New Meaning Training (NMT) offers education with a difference. We are an alternative education provider dedicated to helping young people aged 15-25 discover their strengths and develop the confidence and skills to earn their own living. For the 2025-2026 academic year, around 300 young people from Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Warwickshire, West Midlands, and Berkshire will join one of our programmes. Many of these students are referred by secondary schools, pupil referral units, and Special Education Needs settings. Our journey began in 2015 with the opening of our first centre in High Wycombe, originally known as “Toolshed.” Ten years on, NMT continues to grow, with two new centres for 2025-2026. In Warwickshire New Meaning Training has two centres. A new one in the north of the county in Nuneaton, and a well-established and newly refurbished centre in the south in Stratford-upon-Avon. In Nuneaton for 2026-2027 the course offering will be Introduction to Construction Multiskills, Introduction to Motor Mechanics and Introduction to Community Care. All programmes incorporate functional skills qualifications in Maths and English, along with tutorials to support our well-rounded approach. We also provide a ‘Transition Support’ programme for young people with EHCPs who are not yet ready for a learning setting. NMT tailors its programmes to meet the needs of its learners, considering Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We comprehensively apply the principles of a Loving Care Approach (Trauma Informed Practice) to ensure all young people receive the support they need to thrive. Why work for New Meaning Training?
