An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the technical support team. My client is looking for an engineer to provide product support to partners and customers.
The role involves supporting technical queries by answering technical questions, assisting with customer applications, and troubleshooting. This support will involve setting up and programming PLCs, motor drivers and industrial communications (PROFINET, EtherCAT, IO-Link, etc.).
The successful candidate will also be required to design and deliver training courses/presentations to partners and customers, write user manuals and technical guides, and carry out investigations and tests.
The Candidate
A Degree or HND Qualification - Electronics, Electromechanical or Mechatronics Engineering
Minimum 1 year relevant work experience
Knowledge of PLCs and Ladder or Structured Text programming language
Knowledge of electrical motion control for industrial applications
Strong verbal and written communication skills as you will be required to write detailed, technical reports and product documentation
The ability to occasionally travel to Europe
Desirable, but not essential skills:
Experience of inspecting and testing devices
Working knowledge of pneumatic and electrical test equipment
Experience to plan and manage projects
Technical product support experience
Experience of delivering technical training
Experience with some industrial communication protocols for example PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT and IO-Link
