About You

Are you a positive and motivated person who is experienced in supporting people who can exhibit behaviour that challenges? Are you looking to gain great experience in a satisfying job where you feel supported? If this sounds like you, maybe a Support Worker role with an award-winning charity is the change you’ve been looking for! At our Angus CLP service, we support vulnerable adults to live as independently as possible across the Angus region.

We are currently recruiting for a Support Worker based in the Montrose area, but who is happy to provide support in Forfar, Arbroath and Letham too. Some of the individuals we support have their own flats, some live in sheltered accommodation and some live at home with their parents but our goal is still the same; to support these individuals to live the best lives possible. We provide a wide range of support in this area, including providing social support, going to the pub or Sparkles disco, surfing the internet, playing games, meeting up with our friends, listening to music, baking and enjoying our local area.

The people we support are always up for trying new things, so are looking for inventive people who are up for the challenge. Our staff team are very supportive and experienced and may provide support with: • Medication administration • Cooking and home maintenance • Social support and support to achieve personal goals • Managing the finances of the people we support Our team provide day support only, but we ask for flexibility to work a variety of shift patterns from Monday-Sunday.

Working for Us

The people we support like to be supported by people who respect them and their homes, but who also like to have fun! We like people who are reliable and honest and are able to remain calm under pressure, so they can support people effectively and build fantastic relationships

We know it takes a special person to work in social care and we recognise that not everyone that would be perfect for the role, will have professional experience. This is why we're really passionate about recruiting to individuals’ values and we recruit people from all walks of life ; From people with vast experience in a support worker or care assistant role, from people with lived experiences who may have friends or relatives with disabilities or have looked after older relatives, to people with no experience at all.

Naturally it is important too that you share our company values - We Include; We Deliver; We Aspire; We Respect; We Enable, which are at the heart of everything we do and ensure that we deliver high quality, consistent care and support. People's values are important to use, so we look for people with:
