Working as part of a small team, the post holder will work with Bradford Teaching Hospitals Trust colleagues and 3rd party suppliers to understand current and future business processes to design, create, test and implement automated processes to reduce repetitive manual administration tasks. The aim is to automate time consuming manual processes, increase accuracy and reduce response times to directly improve patient care. This is an opportunity for someone with technical experience in automation.
The post holder will design and create automation solutions and integrate these into, and between, existing Trust systems. They will participate in all areas of robot automation development, including feasibility research, design, programming, version control, testing, documentation, technical implementation, deployment and monitoring, maintenance of processes, providing cost-effective, risk-controlled, robust, reliable, responsive and secure automation solutions. Primarily through automated tools and software, this role aims to deliver robust, reliable, responsive and secure automated processes to improve efficiencies across the Trust.
Main duties of the job
 * Work independently on solution development, process maintenance and monitoring of live processes
 * Identify requirements for new automations and associated integrations
 * Propose cost-effective developments
 * Create complex functional specifications
 * Application programming across a range of platforms
 * Author supporting documentation
 * Systems integration, testing and deployment
 * Maintain test and live environment of RPA software at the Trust, including updates, upgrades, business continuity and impacts from associated applications
 * Participate in all aspects of RPA training and process design
 * Ensure project needs are met while maintaining system security and data integrity

Job responsibilities
The job holder will work closely with the project manager and Trust colleagues to design, develop, test, implement and maintain Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and broader automation technologies for M365 and PowerAutomate/Platform within the Trust, and will collaborate with multiple third-party applications within BTHFT.
This post is responsible for the design and creation of automation solutions and their integration into existing systems, providing cost-effective, risk-controlled, robust, reliable, responsive and secure automation solutions to support clinical and corporate transformation needs.

Qualifications
Essential
 * Relevant degree or equivalent qualification or significant experience at degree level
 * Evidence of continued professional development
 * Blue Prism Cloud Associate Developer or equivalent practitioner status
 * Comprehensive IT training/education
Desirable
 * Management/leadership qualification or equivalent knowledge at postgraduate level
 * Additional automation training or certification
 * Project Management qualification or equivalent experience

 * Experience with SQL, VB/.NET/C#/Java, JavaScript, Web Services, HTML/CSS
 * Extensive knowledge of Blue Prism RPA, iOCR, Blue Prism Cloud Cognitive Tools, PowerPlatform, PowerAutomate, and M365 technologies
 * Experience managing the automation lifecycle to best-practice standards
 * Experience engaging with customers in a consultative manner
 * Strong Microsoft Office skills and experience with Power Apps and Flow (Automate)
 * Experience facilitating change in practice to improve services
 * Analytical skills for working with complex datasets
 * Understanding of Information Governance and Confidentiality
 * At least 6 months experience working within an NHS Acute hospital
Desirable
 * Experience delivering automations using NHS applications (ESR, ERS, PAS, EPR, etc.)
