Salary: £33,594 - £50,589 (pro-rata for part-time)
Hours: 17.5 per week
Gracemount High School is a small non-denominational secondary school with a roll of just over 640 pupils, serving the community of Southeast Edinburgh. Founded in 1959 as a junior secondary school, it has been a fully comprehensive six-year high school since the late 1960s.
Built under PPP and opened in 2003, the school’s leadership team includes the Head Teacher, three Depute Head Teachers, a Senior Development Officer, and a Business Manager. The school employs 50 teaching staff and 20 support staff.
We serve a socially diverse community, with over 70% of students living in quintile 1 and 2 of the Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation. Our staff are skilled, conscientious, and caring, dedicated to supporting our students’ success.

This post involves regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The successful candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If the candidate has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more outside the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. Employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of these checks.
Salaries will adhere to the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.
