Dexters is seeking a high-calibre graduate to join it's fast-growing Finance team. This role is ideal for an ambitious university leaver eager to gain hands-on experience in mergers and acquisitions, financial planning, and board-level reporting within a dynamic private business. The position offers meaningful responsibility, close collaboration with senior leadership, and a clear pathway to a long-term career in Finance.
Location: Mayfair/Clapham/Teddington - Office based
Hours: Full time - Monday to Friday - 8:30am-5:30pm
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 (subject to experience)
Key Responsibilities
M&A (c. 30–40%)
● Support live acquisition transactions from early-stage analysis through to completion
● Build and maintain Excel-based financial models to assess target businesses
● Assist with financial due diligence, KPI analysis and data room reviews
● Support review of transaction documentation (SPAs, completion accounts)
● Assist with post-acquisition integration and financial reporting
FP&A and Financial Reporting (c. 60–70%)
● Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and multi-year financial plans
● Support monthly forecasting of P&L, cash flow and balance sheet
● Help prepare board packs and senior management reporting
● Analyse KPIs and business performance trends across divisions
● Support month-end reporting and audit processes
● Ad-hoc financial analysis projects across the Group
Skills & Requirements
● Minimum 2:1 degree from a leading university (any discipline)
● Prior internship experience at an Investment Bank or equivalent
● Strong interest in both M&A and financial planning/analysis
● Strong Excel skills, or clear aptitude and desire to develop advanced modelling capability
● Analytical, detail-oriented, and commercially curious
● Confident working with senior stakeholders
● Eagerness to assume responsibility and ownership from the outset
