Our Client, a renowned independent specialist focusing on high-end and classic vehicles, is seeking a skilled Mercedes Diagnostic Technician to become an integral part of their dedicated team in Ashford, Kent. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced motor trade professional who is passionate about diagnostics and working on luxury and historic cars, including vintage Mercedes models and other prestige vehicles.

Competitive basic salary starting at £40,000, with an achievable on-target earning potential of up to £44,000
Working hours Monday to Thursday, 08:30 – 17:00, and Friday 08:30 – 16:30

Diagnosing complex electrical and mechanical systems using advanced Mercedes diagnostic tools
Performing routine servicing, inspections, and repairs on a variety of high-end and classic vehicles
Troubleshooting and rectifying faults on historic and prestige models, often involving detailed mechanical and electrical work
Working independently or alongside a team to deliver exceptional service and workmanship
Maintaining detailed records of diagnostics and repairs in accordance with quality standards
Assisting with vehicle restorations or specialised projects where required
Ensuring adherence to safety procedures and manufacturer specifications at all timesWhat are the requirements?
Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician, preferably with Mercedes-Benz factory training or extensive dealership background
Alternatively, experienced independent Mercedes-Benz technicians with a strong focus on quality workmanship
Strong diagnostic skills, particularly with complex vehicle systems
Passion for working on high-end, vintage, and classic vehicles
A keen eye for detail and a professional attitude toward craftsmanship
Experience with American muscle cars, classic restorations, or specialised diagnostics is advantageous but not mandatory
Long-term Mercedes experience (30+ years) highly valued and encouraged
