Manufacturing Technician
£26,000 – £28,000 (depending on experience), pension, 25 days holiday. Full‑time, permanent position within a growing medical device company. Location: Abingdon, Oxfordshire.
Who we’re looking for
Hands‑on Manufacturing, Production, Assembly or Development Technician with experience in a clean, regulated manufacturing environment.
Background
* Experience working with small components – ideally in medical, electronics, or precision manufacturing
* Able to follow detailed written instructions and complete accurate production records
* Confident working under a microscope or with intricate components
* A methodical approach – reliable, process‑driven, and comfortable working to high quality standards
* Any experience with ISO 13485, GMP, or GLP is beneficial but not essential
* Good communication skills and a team‑first attitude
Responsibilities
* Assemble medical devices to precise specifications, following SOPs
* Carry out detailed production tasks under a microscope where required
* Record data clearly and accurately during manufacturing and product testing
* Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring equipment is cleaned, calibrated and ready for use
* Support product development by building prototypes and performing performance testing
* Assist with technical support for suppliers and internal teams
* Contribute to documentation, including work instructions and process records
