From our site on Davy Road, to the east of the town center, we work with customers to co-develop new recipes for grocery private label products, retail restaurants, quick service restaurants, foodservice and food ingredients.
About the role AAK Foods are seeking to appoint a Quality Auditor to join the Technical Team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for raising quality and site standards and providing technical support across the business.
The role reports directly to the Quality Manager.
The working hours will be 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, on a rolling 3 shift pattern ( Responsibilities Develop and ensure complete compliance with all food safety and quality standards including BRC, Customer Codes of Practice, HACCP and Legislation requirements.
Carryout QMS, GMP, G&HP internal audits to ensure compliance across all departments.
Ensuring that all shift tasks are completed against the QA matrix.
Support with complaint investigations to ensure appropriate corrective and preventative actions are taken.
Carryout Allergen, Micro, Environmental swabbing against Technical schedules.
Support the site on traceability exercises when required.
Conduct daily taste panels against the product quality attribute sheets.
Being a Food Safety Culture champion and supporting the site.
Working collaborative with all departments to ensure root cause analysis is undertaken to facilitate continuous improvement projects and ways of working.
About you The successful candidate should have the following skills and experience: Previous experience working in a similar role (FMCG experience advantageous) Strong attention to detail.
Food hygiene/HACCP qualification is an advantage Able to work well within a team or on own initiative.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to find areas for improvement.
Problem solving skills.
Able to make and communicate decisions.
