Senior Manager, Customer Solutions

About the Company:

Our client is an innovation-led data centre developer headquartered in London, with over 500MW of IT capacity live or under development across the UK, Europe, Middle East, and Asia. They design, build, and operate sustainable data centres for some of the world’s largest technology companies and are deeply committed to reducing environmental impact, supporting local communities, and driving intelligent design across every project.

Role Overview:

The company is seeking a Senior Manager, Customer Solutions to lead and manage the technical RFP response and bid management process across its expanding data centre portfolio. This key role sits at the crossroads of engineering, commercial, operations, and project management — helping to shape high-quality, client-focused proposals aligned with operational capabilities and sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead and coordinate end-to-end technical RFP submissions, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
* Collaborate with internal teams — including engineering, commercial, operations, and sales — to develop tailored solutions for clients.
* Oversee bid strategies and identify what makes a winning proposal.
* Apply technical expertise to validate feasibility and ensure compliance with requirements.
* Support the preparation of technical documentation, contract-ready deliverables, and standardised customer materials.
* Drive stakeholder engagement, manage project timelines, and escalate risks where appropriate.
* Continuously refine internal processes, templates, and response strategies to enhance efficiency and quality.
* Ensure all proposals align with the company’s operational standards and sustainability ambitions.

Candidate Profile:

* Approximately 10 years of experience in technical project management, ideally within data centres or critical infrastructure.
* Background in engineering with strong understanding of infrastructure systems (e.g., power, cooling, connectivity).
* Proven track record of managing complex technical RFPs and coordinating cross-functional teams.
* Excellent communication skills, able to translate complex technical details into clear proposals.
* Confident stakeholder manager, comfortable liaising with senior leaders, clients, and external vendors.
* Structured, detail-focused approach to documentation, compliance, and deadlines.
* Leadership experience and a proactive mindset for process improvement.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with tools like Bluebeam Revu is desirable.
