Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Financial Reporting Accountant to join Royal London. In this role, you will be responsible for providing financial reporting services for the Group, including Board and Committee reporting, Press Release reporting, and other ad hoc reporting requirements.
This role supports the production of the UK GAAP consolidation monthly, working with Finance stakeholders to ensure compliance with external standards and timeliness.
You will collaborate with Board and Audit Committee members to interpret financial results and support effective decision-making, contributing to the Group's financial resilience.
Joining the Financial & Regulatory Reporting team, you will become part of a team of skilled accountants, developing your financial reporting expertise in a dynamic environment.
What you will be doing:
* Support monthly UK GAAP consolidation.
* Analyze and communicate reported results clearly.
* Prepare reports for Audit Committee and Board.
* Prepare subsidiary statutory accounts.
* Assist in improving the control environment with the Head of Financial & Regulatory Reporting.
About You:
* Qualified accountant with financial reporting experience.
* Knowledge of UK GAAP and/or IFRS for insurance entities.
* Experience in preparing or auditing financial statements.
* Understanding of insurance accounting principles, systems, and procedures.
* Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
* Strong report writing skills for diverse audiences.
