Location: Leicestershire (LE12)
Salary: £95 - £100 per day (PAYE)
Contract: Full-time | Long-term to permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Start Date: September 2025 (Interviews taking place ASAP)
A welcoming specialist school in Leicestershire (LE12) is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join their team this September.
About the School
The school supports a small cohort of pupils aged 4-13 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. With a calm, structured environment and class sizes kept small, students benefit from a highly personalised approach to learning.
Facilities include a MUGA sports area, science and art rooms, a music studio, calm and sensory spaces, and outdoor learning provision.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups, helping them stay focused and engaged
Assist with behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
Work across academic, creative and outdoor learning sessions
Collaborate with teachers and other staff to deliver tailored support
Contribute to a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment
What We're Looking For
Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs (SEMH, SEN, or behavioural challenges)
A calm, patient and resilient approach
Good communication skills and a team-first attitude
Backgrounds in education, youth work, residential care or support work are welcome
Note: You do not need prior SEMH experience - if you're calm, consistent, and committed, training and support will be provided.
