Adaptability and readiness to work in various classroom roles, indoors and outdoors, catering to individual pupil needs.
Ability to provide responsive and caring support to pupils with a wide range of social, emotional, and mental health needs.
Willingness to run classroom activities, lead outdoor experiences, and supervise pupils in diverse settings.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable pupils.
Qualifications or Certificates:
GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths.
Experience:
Previous experience working in a similar role within an educational setting is desirable.
Familiarity with supporting pupils with complex Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs would be advantageous.
Ability to work effectively as part of a dedicated team, sharing knowledge, experience, and learning.
Brief Overview of the Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant at an independent specialist day school catering for boys and girls aged 7 to 18, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of the pupils.
You will directly engage with pupils, providing them with the support they need to achieve their full potential in education and life.
Responsibilities include preparing learning materials, running classroom activities, and providing hands-on support under supervision.
