Description
* Prepare and manage financial statements, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
* Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Monitor and report on financial performance, providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
* Work closely with external auditors and ensure audit readiness at all times.
* Maintain and improve financial controls and processes within the organisation.
* Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis for various departments.
* Support the wider accounting & finance team in ad hoc financial projects and reporting requirements.
* Ensure compliance with tax regulations and liaise with tax authorities as needed.
Profile
A successful Financial Accountant should have:
* A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent.
* Proven expertise in financial reporting and compliance within a relevant industry.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
* Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
* Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
* A proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements.
* Experience in the technology & telecoms sector is desirable but not essential.
