The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Geologist to join a talented team in Winchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional looking to take ownership of projects, mentor junior staff, and contribute to the continued growth of a dynamic consultancy.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage ground investigation projects from inception to completion
* Undertake and supervise site work, including logging soils and rock
* Develop ground models and provide geotechnical interpretations
* Prepare and review factual and interpretative reports
* Manage project budgets, timelines, and client relationships
* Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members
* Liaise with contractors, clients, and regulatory bodies
Requirements
* Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, or a related discipline
* Proven experience within a UK consultancy environment
* Strong understanding of ground investigation techniques
* Excellent report writing and communication skills
* Experience managing projects and supervising site works
* Working towards or holding Chartered status (CGeol or similar)
* Full UK driving licence
Desirable
* Experience with contaminated land assessments
* Knowledge of geotechnical design principles
* Familiarity with UK regulatory frameworks
