About the Role
We're seeking a reliable and experienced Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join a busy workshop. You'll be working on a wide range of vehicles, carrying out vehicle diagnostics, servicing, repairs, gearbox and engine work, and supporting MOT preparations. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys technical challenges, takes pride in quality workmanship, and wants a stable Monday–Friday schedule with overtime opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform routine servicing, mechanical repairs, and maintenance
* Carry out vehicle diagnostics using modern diagnostic tools and software
* Conduct gearbox repairs, clutch work, and engine-related repairs (including head gasket work)
* Support MOT preparation and testing alongside MOT testers (if qualified)
* Maintain accurate service records and job documentation
* Ensure all vehicles are safe, reliable, and customer-ready
* Work collaboratively within a skilled and supportive team environment
What We're Looking For
* Fully qualified Vehicle Technician / Mechanic (NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 preferred)
* Strong ability in diagnostics, gearbox repair, engine repairs, and mechanical fault-finding
* MOT Testing and F-Gas certification preferred but not required
* Reliable, motivated, and detail-oriented
* Full UK driving licence
* Own tools required
