The duties of a Trainee Surveyor/Technician vary day to day, every day is a new challenge. Meeting new people, travelling to different places gathering data with specialist surveying equipment and mobile devices. Looking at properties for valuation, repair and reinstatement.

Main objectives of the role:
* Precise Level & Crack Monitoring on properties with defects
* Driving from site to site to carry out a variety of surveying tasks
* Providing detailed sketches from site
* Using mobile applications
* Providing detailed dimension plans for scope of works and estimating purposes
* Producing both digital and hand draw site maps and plans
* Providing clear photos for evidence purposes
Duties:
Reviewing the following days work sheet for the jobs allocated and making sure you are arriving at your first job in a timely manner in accordance with your day sheet.
Carrying company identification at all times and showing up in a presentable manner, whilst on site you will ensure you are working in accordance to company health and safety procedures.
Always being prepared for work with the correct equipment, checking all equipment is calibrated and in working order, prior to your shift.
Reporting any issues or concerns, immediately to your line manager.
Maintaining all company equipment to a high standard, including vehicles.
Ensuring consumable stock is replenished via the office or externally.
An understanding of all standards relating to the projects.
Effectively communicating with policy holders and office staff.
Being flexible, as client requests can change at short notice.
Using own initiative to problem solve, eliminating errors as far as reasonably possible.
Sending through hours and miles at the end of each shift.
Ensuring company vehicles are cleaned monthly and kept in good working order, informing Fleet Manager of any vehicle related problems.
Completing monthly vehicle inspection reports and returning to the office by the last working on the month day of the month.
