To succeed as a Restaurant Shift / Floor Manager, you should be a great leader and a positive team player with previous experience in the restaurant and customer service sector within a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, a strong focus on the customer, and flexibility to work various hours (including early mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends) are essential.

Key Responsibilities
As a Tim Hortons Restaurant Shift/Floor Manager, you will support the Restaurant Manager with responsibilities including:
Customer Service
* Lead by example, prioritizing customer satisfaction.
* Maintain a customer-focused approach in all operations.
* Accurate staff scheduling to meet customer demand.
* Support the team to ensure operational efficiency.
* Conduct regular store walks to monitor customer experience.
People
* Encourage staff to share suggestions and concerns.
* Provide feedback, set goals, and support team members' development.
* Create a positive team environment, treating all employees with dignity and respect, free from discrimination.
* Manage performance issues in collaboration with HR.
Driving Sales
* Understand sales patterns, popular products, and peak times, adjusting accordingly.
* Ensure products are correctly merchandised and well-stocked.
* Coach employees on upselling and suggestive selling techniques.
* Identify areas for improvement and motivate the team towards continuous enhancement.
Operations
* Monitor KPIs such as sales, staff turnover, food safety, and health & safety standards.
* Set an example by maintaining composure under pressure.
* Manage weekly stock orders and quality checks.
* Oversee maintenance schedules for equipment.
* Ensure optimal inventory levels.
* Manage opening and closing procedures.
* Maintain cleanliness, food hygiene, and overall operational standards.
* Implement health and safety procedures, reporting incidents promptly to the Regional Manager.
* Be available to work various shifts as part of the management team.
Key Requisites
* Previous experience in restaurant management.
* A flexible and disciplined approach to work.
* Experience in a food environment is advantageous but not essential.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good numeracy and literacy skills.
* High standards of food hygiene and safety.
* Experience handling customer complaints.
* Knowledge of health and safety procedures.
