Role Purpose:
You will join the team in the National Underwriting Centre (NUC) in delivering a high-quality service to our underwriters and brokers whilst practicing and developing technical capability and broader business skills in the Insurance Industry.
This is a key role created to support the P&C team in line with Chubb’s ambitious growth plans across the UKI and Commercial Insurance Practice. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for the underwriting
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the Underwriting and Processing of renewable P&C business in line with our underwriting appetite, authority limits and business plan
2. Manage Mid Term Adjustments and General Queries from brokers
3. Prepare and update Multinational Request Forms to allow quotations from our Global Servicing Team
4. Support in the booking of policy premiums
5. Update systems with key property information to allow us to understand exposures
6. Support the Underwriters through liaison with and participation at meetings with brokers, clients and internal stakeholders
7. To meet company standards in respect of policy documentation, timeframe for quoting new and renewal business and compliance issues.
8. Develop your knowledge and understanding of P&C Underwriting and Chubbs appetite
9. To work within the framework of the Chubb Code of Conduct, Compliance policies, Peer Review and within the framework of the protocols established by the Company
10. Ideally 1 years’ experience in the insurance market is required however candidates with a Customer Service background/or Graduate will be considered.
11. You will need to demonstrate a practical and common-sense approach to dealing with differing situations and an ability to tackle problems often against tight time-frames
12. Minimum A level standard.
13. Competent in Microsoft Office.
14. Expected to undertake “on the job” training. This may involve working in other Chubb offices
