About the role
The Digital Innovation Lead is a new position within the Digital Directorate at Welsh Ambulance Service NHS Trust. The role involves creating innovative digital solutions to support the Digital Strategy, impacting patient and staff services.
This role promotes a user-centred, inclusive approach to digital innovation and transformation, focusing on adoption, impact measurement, and strategic decision-making.
The Digital Innovation Lead will manage multiple projects, varying in scale and complexity, from weeks to months.
Proficiency in Welsh is desirable; applications from English or Welsh speakers are welcome.
Main duties
Lead design and implementation of solutions aligned with the Digital Strategy, impacting operational, clinical, and business systems. Solutions may include in-house tools or procurement of new products.
Manage digital support services across WAST, oversee the digital innovation lab, develop training programs, and facilitate innovative procurement practices in line with legislation.
Be part of the Digital Innovation and Transformation Team, driving service enhancements, integrating new technologies, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, user experience, and accessibility.
