We're looking for someone who can lead with vision and impact. This role isn't just about following a playbook - it's about working with colleagues to build on what exists, identify gaps, and shape what's needed to make the UK operation truly effective. You'll have the freedom to influence outcomes and implement processes that work for the UK market, while leveraging best practice from our European teams.
Key Accountabilities:
Own daytoday Service Centre performance to deliver termstart readiness, repair & swap Service Level Agreements, and renew/refresh throughput without disrupting teaching.
Sales & Operations Planning (Sales and Operations Planning) and capacity: build rolling 12month plans; maintain staffing patterns, shift/overtime profiles, and bench capacity against forecast; run weekly Operations huddles and monthly Sales and Operations Planning with Sales/Product.
Production (staging & imaging): standardise flows; enforce image integrity, asset labeling, Quality Assurance gates and dispatch readiness; minimise rework and failed deliveries.
Repairs & swap: lead the repairs function (Electrostatic Discharge compliance; bench utilisation; parts control; vendor Return Merchandise Authorisation/escalations) to meet turnaround targets; manage swap stock and returns.
Logistics: book courier/logistics windows for peaks; coordinate Third-Party Logistics and onsite handout events; assure ontime, infull deliveries to schools; follow internal communications protocols.
People leadership: Co-operative manager with the ability to lead change, challenge others but also be challenged. Attract, develop, and empower team leads and technicians.
Procurement interface: align on Stock Keeping Unit standards, inbound schedules and vendor escalations with Product/Procurement; ensure purchase triggers follow approved quotes/prices and prevent pricing drift.
Programme management: lead the crossfunctional "Getto1 July" readiness programme (premises/capacity; staging & imaging; logistics; repairs & swap; comms) with rehearsal and risk burn-down.
Data & Management Information: publish a weekly pack; run Root Cause Analysis and embed countermeasures.
Health and Safety and compliance: enforce Electrostatic Discharge, tool safety, equipment checks, safe lifting, and incident reporting; maintain workspace zoning and audits; manage contractor access as required.
Budget & cost: manage overtime, storage/Third-Party Logistics, consumables and rework costs; support cash conversion by hitting dispatch dates tied to invoicing.
Stakeholder management: represent Operations at Quarterly Business Reviews; collaborate with The Rent Company Group; channel escalations appropriately; protect team focus. Represent Operations at senior leadership forums and with key stakeholders, acting as an ambassador for Easy4U's operational excellence.
Skills & Abilities:
Proven operational experience in high paced environments.
Strong Sales/Operations Planning experience and capacity planning, demonstrating the ability to drive operational excellence at scale
Resilience and decisiveness sets standards, provides clear feedback, escalates early and follows through, with the gravitas to influence at all levels and uphold Easy4u's high standards
Proven ability to lead, inspire and develop teams, building trust and buy-in at all levels, and actively driving a positive, high-performance culture.
Process design and continuous improvement (Lean methods); Using KPIs, analysis and rootcause problem solving.
Programme management for fixeddate launches (e.g., term start).
Vendor and 3PL coordination; clear stakeholder communication (written and verbal).
Excellent IT Skills/usage of Excel
Knowledge & Experience
Imaging at scale; QA methods; swapstock control; ESD and workshop safety.
Working with Product/Procurement to enforce SKU and pricing discipline.
