Description Job Summary As a Treasury Operations Payments Vice President within Chase, you will have the responsibility for ensuring that the Operations and Payments activities are carried out on a daily basis in line with JPMC and line of business policies and procedures. The VP will need to ensure the accurate and timely processing of payment transactions by the Treasury Ops Payments team. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our financial systems and supporting our commitment to high standards. Your work will involve collaborating with various teams to resolve discrepancies and enhance operational processes. Job Responsibilities Manage the Treasury Ops Payments team and ensure the following activities are completed with complete accuracy and quality – Payments processing, monitor work inflow, manage emails, and allocate tasks effectively. Release payment transactions accurately and timely, once processed by the team. Produce periodic and ad-hoc reports for regulatory and management review Fulfil daily payment obligations to third parties Conduct end-of-day checks and report to management Respond to audit queries and provide necessary documentation Act as a point of contact for Finance and Product teams Work on building new processes as diverse products are added on an on-going basis. Work on creating SMEs within the team to eliminate the risk of key man dependencies. Hiring, training new and existing employees Planning, assigning and directing work Performance management and feedback Addressing employee performance and corrective action plans Maintain a secure an efficient work environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations Manage relationships with key stakeholders Ensure Risk and controls are adhered to Communicate customer issues with operations teams and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, building and maintaining work relationships Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills Relevant knowledge and experience, ideally in a back office, middle office, operations or similar function of a banking/financial services organisation. Knowledge and understanding of banking platforms, reconciliation tools, payments and systems Experience in Payments / Cash Operations / Treasury Operations / SWIFT / Payment flows dealing with operational process, controls and problem solving. Basic knowledge of accounting principles and processes Diverse product knowledge, with an ability to develop an understanding of new products Ability to work under considerable time pressure, whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality Excellent communication and organisational skills Strong analytical skills to analyse the information, identify the problems, and work towards finding the solutions Ability to multi-task and deliver against tight deadlines Strong team Player, has ability to partner and influence across businesses and other support groups Client focused and able to deliver on complex tasks Facilitate problem solving & collaboration Excellent time management and prioritization skills and highly result oriented Leadership People and Conflict Management Critical Thinking Problem Solving Skills Delegation Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills Relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field Experience in identifying and driving process improvement opportunities Understanding of operational and financial risks in banking
