An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen for a passionate, experienced, and visionary leader to join Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) as a Senior Manager for Mental Health Services.
This is a key leadership role, offering the chance to shape and drive strategic and operational improvements across a diverse and rural geography.
About the Role
As Senior Manager, you will:
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for all Adult Mental Health and Addictions services across Argyll and Bute.
- Lead integrated, multi-disciplinary teams delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
- Drive service transformation, innovation, and redesign in line with national policy and local priorities.
- Ensure robust governance, performance management, and financial oversight.
- Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders including NHS Highland, Argyll and Bute Council, third sector partners, and service users.
This role is pivotal in delivering on the HSCP’s vision: “Helping people in Argyll and Bute live longer, healthier, happier, and more independent lives.”
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate leader who:
- Has significant senior management experience in health and/or social care, ideally within Mental Health or Addictions services.
- Holds a relevant professional qualification (e.g. Social Work, Nursing, AHP) and is registered with the appropriate regulatory body (SSSC, NMC, HCPC).
- Demonstrates a deep understanding of integrated care, recovery-focused practice, and trauma-informed approaches.
- Is skilled in strategic planning, change management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Brings a strong track record of delivering service improvements and managing complex budgets.
