Job Title: Conveyancing Assistant Location: Leeds (LS7) Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent (Office-based) Salary: £23,000 – £25,000 (dependent on experience) About the Role: We are currently recruiting for a dedicated Conveyancing Assistant to join a well-established law firm based in Leeds (LS7). This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to grow their career within residential property law, working closely on a one-to-one basis with an experienced Fee Earner. You will play a key role in supporting the conveyancing team, handling a wide range of administrative and legal tasks to ensure the smooth progression of residential property transactions from start to finish. Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to the Conveyancing Fee Earner. Assist in managing residential property transactions including sales, purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity. Prepare legal documents, correspondence, and contract packs. Conduct searches, ID checks, and help with completion statements. Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other parties involved in the transaction. Maintain accurate case files and update case management systems. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and firm policies. Requirements: Previous experience in a conveyancing or legal assistant role is highly desirable. Strong administrative and organisational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a busy environment. Confident using Microsoft Office and legal case management systems.
