About the Role
We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to perform preventative and reactive maintenance at our Leyland site, ensuring safety and efficiency to minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct regular inspections and address issues proactively.
2. Maintain and repair electrical systems, including single and three-phase systems, control systems, and instrumentation.
3. Service pumps, agitators, presses, valves, and piping systems.
4. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements like emergency lighting, legionella control, and PAT testing.
5. Contribute to process improvements and continuous performance enhancements.
Minimum Requirements
* HNC/ONC in Engineering with relevant manufacturing experience.
* Qualified electrical apprentice compliant with 18th Edition IEE, testing, and CompEX regulations.
* Mechanical apprenticeship background.
* Experience with pumps, valves, gearboxes, drives, conveying systems, and filling lines.
* Ability to fault find, read electrical drawings, and rewire 24V, single, and three-phase equipment.
Preferred Skills
* Excellent communication and planning skills.
* Team-oriented with problem-solving capabilities.
* Experience in ATEX environments and familiarity with PLCs & SCADA systems, especially Allen Bradley & Wonderware.
