Job summary
Railway Medical Group is seeking an experienced Locum GP to provide additional 6 month cover. You will deliver face-to-face and telephone consultations, plus one home visit per day.
The role involves working within a friendly team of partners and providing high-quality patient care.
 * Practice: Railway Medical Group
 * Location: Gatacre St, Blyth, Northumberland, NE24 1HD
 * Partners: Drs Nicola Shiell, Grace Watts, Alex van den Bos, Rebecca Cross, Emma Stewart, Pepper Atkinson, Mr C Watson
 * Position: Locum General Practitioner (GP)
 * Contract Duration: 6 months (Starting as soon as possible)
 * Working Days: Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday each week
 * Sessions: Full days on working days, including one home visit
Main duties of the job
 * Conduct 12 face-to-face appointments per morning and afternoon clinic
 * Manage 2 telephone follow-up slots per clinic session (to phone patients re results etc.)
 * Complete 1 home visit per working day
 * Complete associated administration (test ordering, medication queries, referral letters) within the session
 * Maintain confidentiality and adhere to GMC and practice professional standards
Hours & Remuneration
 * Full working days on Tuesdays, Wednesday & Friday. Start / finish time negotiable
 * Daily rate: £650 plus pension contribution (£734 if exempt)
 * Additional hours by prior agreement, paid at a mutually agreed rate
 * Self-employed contractor status (no paid leave or statutory benefits)
