About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the kitchen operations by assisting in food preparation and ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards. This position is ideal for individuals looking to develop their culinary skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment within the hospitality industry.
Responsibilities
* To assist in the day to day running of the kitchen, maintaining high standards of food preparation and presentation.
* To maintain food standards and quality procedures set out in the food manual.
* To assume Assistant Chef's role as and when required for holidays and sickness.
* To keep records of quantity procedures, fridge temperatures, cooking temperatures and delivery checks.
* To prepare food to pre-set timing deadlines.
* Strict adherence to company health and safety policies and procedures
Skills and Qualifications
* 2 years experience preparing buffet and banquet style dining
* Experience working within a hotel or venue environment would be an advantage
* Knowledge and understanding of the food allergies as set out by the government.
* A good knowledge of COSSH and health and safety procedures in a kitchen environment.
* A good understanding of day to day running of the kitchen and good knife skills.
* Food Health and hygiene level 2 preferred.
