The Role
Woodside Motorfreight is one of the leading finished vehicle distribution companies in the UK and Ireland. An opportunity has arisen to join the experienced Transport team based at the Ballynure HQ. The company offers a dynamic role in the vehicle transportation sector in Northern Ireland. The successful candidate will be able to work under pressure with a high level of attention to detail.
Responsibilities
* Full involvement in the planning & co-ordination of a large fleet of car transporters and drivers, distributing cars, vans and HGVs throughout the UK and Ireland.
* Co-ordination and management of drivers while ensuring compliance with Road Traffic and Working Time laws.
* Booking shipping space utilising cost- and time-effective routes on the Irish Sea.
* Ensuring fleet is available for planned servicing and maintenance.
* Ensuring strict customer KPI targets are achieved.
* Keeping Customer Services staff updated on changes and delays.
* Communication with Directors on a daily basis.
* The successful candidate will participate in out-of-hours mobile telephone cover on a rotational basis.
Rate of pay: Competitive, dependent on experience
Qualifications & Skills
* Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic office environment.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills to ensure seamless teamwork and coordination.
* Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
* Adaptability and resilience under pressure, with the ability to prioritise workload in response to changing demands.
* Proactive approach to problem-solving and contributing to team success.
* Competent in the use of computers and standard office software, with the ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies.
* Experience in a Transport / Haulage business traffic office.
* Whilst weekend work is not ordinarily part of the role, flexibility to cover absences would be beneficial.
