Opportunity
We are partnering with a fast‑growing solar and storage company as they build out their German operations. This is a ground‑floor opportunity: you will be one of the first hires in the country, with real influence over how the business takes shape in one of Europe’s most important energy markets.
Role Overview
As Grid Connection Manager, you will take full ownership of planning and implementing grid connections for large‑scale PV and battery storage projects across Germany, guiding each project from initial feasibility through to commissioning.
Responsibilities
* Lead grid connection planning and implementation across the full project lifecycle.
* Collaborate with distribution and transmission system operators on technical and regulatory requirements.
* Negotiate grid connection agreements and manage infrastructure tenders.
* Ensure all projects comply with relevant grid codes and certification standards.
* Provide the wider team with grid‑related technical guidance.
* Contribute to the growth and structure of the German business as an early hire.
Why This Role
Join a well‑backed company at the start of its German market entry, with the autonomy that comes with an early‑stage team. Work across a growing portfolio of solar and storage projects at the forefront of the energy transition. You will enjoy genuine ownership, a flat structure, and short decision‑making lines.
What You Bring
* Degree in electrical, energy, or industrial engineering, or equivalent vocational training.
* Proven project management experience in medium‑voltage or substation projects.
* Background with project developers, network operators, engineering firms, EPCs, or HV equipment manufacturers.
* Strong knowledge of German grid codes, regulatory requirements, and connection processes.
* Excellent German language skills (C1 or above) and solid English communication ability.
* Proactive, structured, and comfortable working independently within a lean team.
