A Vacancy at Barking Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. Applications are invited for a Clinical Fellow ST2 Equivalent with in Neurosurgery with on call Rota to start as soon as possiable. The Post is recognised for the MBBS or equivelent. All applicants must hold a current GMC registration. This is a banded post.
We are a major neuroscience centre and a large associate teaching hospital providing acute care for a diverse population across two main sites (Queen’s Hospital, Romford and King George Hospital, Goodmayes) with additional sites. We are developing as a tertiary referral centre for North East London and Essex, including additional critical care capacity, and are expanding our services to include a PET CT service. The Trust is located close to central London with accessible transport and amenities. We offer on-site nursery facilities.
Responsibilities
* The post holder will join a team of Neurosurgery junior clinical fellows with exposure to various subspecialities in Neurosurgery.
* The post holder will participate in ward-based work, including performing procedures such as lumbar punctures, and will work as part of the multidisciplinary team.
* There are daily CEPOD and elective theatre lists, as well as weekly subspeciality MDT meetings.
* The post holder will participate in a 1:8 junior clinical fellow on-call rota inclusive of nights.
* The post holder will be encouraged to undertake clinical outcome research and pathway development during the duration of the role.
Qualifications and Requirements
* MBBS or equivalent recognition and current GMC registration are required.
* Evidence of eligibility to work in the UK (as applicable).
