Overview
The School of Engineering is looking to appoint 3 highly motivated individuals to join our technical team in the Engineering Department. You will provide technical support to the Department’s Mechanical and Chemical activities, contributing to high‑quality teaching and research. Your work will include frequent liaison with teaching and research staff, undergraduate and postgraduate students, and you will also be expected to undertake work of a confidential nature on a regular basis. Applicants should be good communicators and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Roles
* G6 Mechanical – Manufacturing (Conventional and CNC) – full time, indefinite role based on‑site at Bailrigg
* G5 Mechanical Engineering and Fabrication – full time, indefinite role based on‑site at Bailrigg
* G4 Chemical Engineering Support – 1 year fixed‑term contract based on‑site at Bailrigg

Our School draws upon over five decades of excellence and innovation in engineering. We conduct world‑leading research and provide high‑quality teaching across mechanical, nuclear, chemical, robotics & control, electronics, materials, and manufacturing engineering. In January 2024 we opened our second purpose‑built engineering building, further increasing our experimental and laboratory facilities.
