The Role
Job Purpose:
Job Specific Skills:
* Proven work experience working on main plant, small tools and mobile welfare.
* Welding experience
* Punctual, hard-working, work as part of a small team with a can do' attitude
* Excellent organisational and time management skills
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Time served, with industry recognised certificates
Outcomes and Daily Duties:
* Servicing and maintaining a fleet of plant and small tools for hire out to our Internal Projects
* Repairing plant and small tools in our two yard locations and out on our customers sites as required .
* Repair and maintain non mech equipment including tip skips, fencing etc coming back in from hire.
* Operating forklifts to load and offload vehicles checking plant and assets for repairs and damages.
* Carry out any PAT testing requirements.
* Make up orders for delivery/collection
* Re fuelling plant and vehicles when required.
* Assist with any other general duties as deemed necessary by the Yard Manager
* Report all accidents and incidents to Yard Manager.
* Ensure best safe working practices are always adhered to and that appropriate PPE is worn at all times by staff.
* Liaise with other team members, including hire team and transport, where required.
Desired Experience :
* Experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
* Preferred qualification NVQ
* Working within the plant hire industry or construction industry is essential.
* Good organisational skills.
* Full clean Driving Licence is essential .Class 2 Licence is beneficial
* Able to work as part of a team to ensure team objective and targets are met including identifying potential areas of performance improvement.
* Ability to work under pressure and at the same time maintain standards and perform to expected standards.
ICT Skills Required
* Use of Microsoft Office is an advantage.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £16.00-£19.00 per hour
