The Person
You are a bright and capable retailer with enthusiasm and the potential to go further. A willingness to learn, an entrepreneurial approach, and a strong commercial mindset are essential. You will have the opportunity to make decisions regarding store layout and stock management and will be responsible for all onsite projects, managing most aspects of store operations. Skills in profit protection, sales generation, analytical thinking, and spotting additional sales opportunities are crucial to minimize shrinkage and improve profitability.
The Role
Reporting to the Regional Manager, the role involves full responsibility for all day-to-day store operations, including:
1. Leading short, medium, and long-term store plans.
2. Setting standards for store layout, appearance, service quality, product mix, and profit protection.
3. Controlling budgets and managing the P&L.
In return, you will be supported by a structure that is present when needed but unobtrusive otherwise. You will receive comprehensive training and be treated as a responsible adult. The compensation package is competitive, with a decent bonus scheme and a healthy work-life balance. Typically, late nights and weekend work are rare, and this store will be your own to run.
